Does Glucotrust Really Work?

Published: 30th Jan 2024

Glucotrust is a middle of the road option.

Glucotrust is a natural supplement that is specifically designed to help you achieve healthy blood sugar levels. They even say that it can promote improved energy levels, weight loss, blood flow, sleep quality, and circulation, as well as greatly reduced sugar cravings, to further aid with blood sugar management.

Produced in GMP certified facilities in the USA and offering free shipping and a 100 day money back guarantee on all purchases, the Glucotrust supplement certainly looks appealing. Unfortunately, after doing our own review, we found the Glucotrust blood sugar capsules just cannot live up to their claims.

The Glucotrust formula is 100 percent natural and contains the key ingredients vitamin d3, magnesium, chromium, cinnamon bark extract, Siberian ginseng root extract, and berberine HCL, as well as the non active ingredients gelatin, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, and silica.

Admittedly, most of the natural ingredients that Glucotrust contains do offer potential benefits to your blood glucose level. Unfortunately, the dosages are all completely off, so they will either put you at risk of side effects or simply be so low that they don't have a positive impact on your blood glucose control.

They also lump half of the ingredients together in a proprietary blend. This is always a red flag as it masks the exact dosages that are present, so makes the effects harder to predict. It is then even worse when it also includes an unproven ingredient as the most abundant compound in the whole blend.

There also appears to be a second version of the dietary supplement on the market. It looks the same but switches out some of its ingredients for things like gymnema sylvestre, juniper berries, licorice root, and zinc. This means you won't actually know what you are going to be getting when taking Glucotrust.

You then add in the fact that it is incredibly hard to find any reviews from people who have actually had a positive experience with the product, and there is very little reason to actually risk trying it for yourself.

As a result, we would highly recommend that you do not buy Glucotrust and generally recommend SugaSafe, first off it has better ingredient doses, comes with a money back guarantee, that we verified with a mystery shopper and is an all round better product.

Customers Glucotrust Reviews

Finding user testimonials for Glucotrust was extremely difficult, and finding reviews that listed positive user experiences was even harder. This makes determining whether or not Glucotrust works very hard, as customer reviews are a fantastic way to gauge how a supplement actually works in the real world.

While many users have tried Glucotrust, most either did not leave a review or listed complaints, such as not finding it enhances insulin sensitivity, blood glucose, or their overall health or well being in any way.

Some also mentioned that they did not find Glucotrust safe for people with underlying health conditions or those who have a family history of certain health issues.

This suggests that, while our own Glucotrust review concluded that its effectiveness would be limited, in reality it may actually even have a negative impact on your overall well being, so is one to avoid.

Glucotrust's Ingredients

Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) - 2000 IU

Vitamin d3 is an essential vitamin that is required in order for a huge range of functions throughout the human body to be able to take place. It is included in Glucotrust as it can help improve the metabolism of sugary foods and encourage healthy, stable blood sugar levels.

Beyond its effect on your blood sugar, vitamin d3 can then also boost your overall metabolic rate, prevent fat storage and weight gain, accelerate testosterone production and protein synthesis, enhance your energy levels, and prevent or treat a variety of different health problems (1).

The only issue is, the recommended daily intake of vitamin d is just 600 IU (international units) for most adults. This means the 2000 IU of vitamin d3 present in each serving of Glucotrust is extremely strong and could lead to side effects.

Magnesium (As Oxide) - 142 MG

Magnesium is a mineral that plays a vital role in more than 600 reactions in the cells in the human body. It can help regulate blood sugar levels in all people, while it is especially useful for people suffering from diabetes, as they are prone to magnesium deficiencies and all of the issues that this can cause.

Research then also shows that it can help to improve your energy levels and ability to feel physically and mentally calm and relaxed, make it easier to fall asleep, soothe the muscles, prevent or treat dehydration, cramps, sleep issues, poor sleep quality and stress, and aid with weight management.

Unfortunately, for magnesium to be able to provide all of the benefits it can offer, you need to consume at least 225 mg per day. This means the 142 mg or magnesium present in each serving of Glucotrust is far too low and highly unlikely to be capable of delivering the benefits that it usually could (2).

Chromium (Amino Acid Chelate) - 55 MCG

The mineral and metal element chromium offers a variety of health benefits for the human body, with the most useful in a product like Glucotrust being its ability to improve insulin sensitivity, promote healthy blood sugar levels, and help prevent or treat diabetes.

Taking chromium will then enhance your nutrient metabolism, serotonin production, energy levels, sleep quality, mental health and functions, weight loss, and muscle recovery, reduce your appetite, prevent weight gain, and boost the absorption and efficacy of all of the other ingredients in the supplement.

The problem is, for chromium to be effective, you need to consume between 200 and 1000 mcg per day (3). As Glucotrust contains just 55 mcg of chromium in every serving, it is simply far too weak and highly unlikely to be able to do you any good at all.

Blood Sugar Complex - 306 MG

Cinnamon Bark Extract

Cinnamon bark extract comes from the cinnamomum cassia plant and has long been used in Chinese traditional medicine, due to claims that it can help you control your blood lipid and blood sugar levels.

It can then also offer additional health benefits, such as being able to prevent or reduce weight gain and fat accumulation, help you lose weight, and combat diabetes or metabolic syndrome.

However, while the spice itself can indeed be useful for blood sugar management, there is limited proof that the bark extract can produce the same effects. As a result, it is highly likely that its presence in a supplement like Glucotrust will be of any use at all (4).

Siberian Ginesng Root Extract

Siberian ginseng root extract comes from panax plants and it has long been used around the world in many traditional medicines, due to the huge number of health benefits that have been attributed to it.

It can help you lower your blood sugar levels, enhance insulin sensitivity, and combat diabetes, making it a very useful ingredient in a product designed to enhance blood sugar control.

It can then also boost your energy levels, brain and immune system health and functions, mood, and testosterone levels, and can help treat conditions like chronic fatigue syndrome, erectile dysfunction, and fibromyalgia.

The issue is, ginseng will only do any of this if you consume at least 200 mg per day. While Glucotrust uses a proprietary blend to try and hide some of its ingredient dosages, the weight of the blend and the position of ginseng in it mean enough simply can't be present in Glucotrust to be of any use (5).

Berberine HCL

Berberine is an alkaloid that is found in many Asian plants and which is used in a huge range of different traditional medicines worldwide, due to the incredible range of health benefits that are linked to it.

It can aid blood sugar management, prevent or treat diabetes and high blood pressure and cholesterol levels, reduce inflammation, enhance your heart health and functions, and even combat depression, mood swings, and certain menopause symptoms (6).

Unfortunately, for berberine hcl to be able to reduce your blood sugar effectively, you must consume a minimum of 900 mg per day. As this is three times the weight of the entire blend that it is located in, the miniscule amount that will be present means its inclusion in Glucotrust will be of absolutely no use at all.

Glucotrust Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Contains only natural ingredients, most of which have been proven to have a positive effect on your blood glucose levels
  • Reasonably priced and comes with a money back guarantee if bought from the official website

Cons

  • Most of the ingredients are present in dosages that are too low to make Glucotrust work or so high that they put you at risk of side effects
  • One of the ingredients has not been proven to contribute to lower glucose levels in your bloodstream
  • Different outlets seem to sell different versions of the supplement, which have different ingredients, such as juniper berries and zinc, so you won't know exactly what you are going to get

Glucotrust Review Conclusion

The manufacturers say that incorporating Glucotrust into your daily routine is a great way to keep your blood sugar levels where they should be, while enjoying additional benefits like improved cardiovascular health, brain function, and insulin production.

However, our Glucotrust review shows that just is not true. From unproven ingredients and incorrect dosages to proprietary blends and conflicting reports on what one capsule actually contains, Glucotrust is not an effective or trustworthy product.

That is why we would strongly suggest that you do not buy it and instead try a proven alternative, such as SugaSafe.

Packed with nothing but optimal doses of proven ingredients, it can greatly improve your blood sugar levels and overall well being. If you combine its use with a balanced diet, its effectiveness is on par with anything that you would get from a healthcare professional, if not greater, while being significantly safer.
