Guarana Seed - Guarana extract comes from the seeds of a fruiting plant found in the Amazon region of South America. It is widely used in sports foods, drinks and supplements, as it contains natural caffeine.
It is an ideal ingredient to put in a weight loss supplement as it can greatly boost metabolism, energy levels, and recovery time, prevent fatigue and tiredness, and enable you to train harder and accelerate calorie burning, fat burning, and your overall weight loss (1).
The problem is, with Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops not listing the dosages of the ingredients that they use, it is impossible to know if enough is present to be of any use, but blends do have to list ingredients from largest to smallest, meaning we can work out that some of them cannot mathematically been in nearly effective dosages.
Capsicum Fruit - Capsicum fruit extract comes from cayenne peppers and contains a chemical called capsaicin. A known thermogenic fat burner, it can raise your internal body temperature, which will stimulate fat burning and increase your metabolic rate and rate of calorie burning.
It will then also suppress your appetite, help you stick to a healthy diet, boost the absorption and efficacy of all of the other ingredients in the Ignite Drops supplement, and reduce inflammation, to help you train more frequently and lose weight even faster (2).
Unfortunately, these weight loss benefits will only be produced if you consume at least of 135 mg of capsicum fruit extract per day. Without knowing how much is present in Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops, but we know that 135mg would take up way more space than is in one bottle. And due to the nature of capsaicin, it would burn like hell if it was even close to the amount needed if it's not in a capsule, keep in mind it's normally only about 0.025% of a chilli to make it that hot.
Even if there is though, capsaicin will only induce mild fat burning, so having it as the second most abundant ingredient in the Ignite Drops formula is not a good idea.
Astragalus Root - Astragalus is a herbal extract made from the roots of plants in the fabaceae family. It is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and can boost testosterone levels and blood flow, improve liver, immune system and cardiovascular health, reduce cholesterol levels, and promote weight loss (3).
The issue is, without knowing the dose of astragalus used in Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops, it is impossible to know if it will produce any effects here or not.
Grapefruit Seed - Grapefruit seeds are rich in vitamin c and bioactives like naringenin. There is evidence to suggest that they can help your body burn fat faster, but this will only happen if you consume them in very large doses and combine them with pure caffeine and a mixture of other polyphenols (4).
While we do not know exactly how much grapefruit seed extract is present in Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops, it is highly likely to be less than required, while we know there is not any pure caffeine or other polyphenols present. This means its inclusion in the Ignite Drops formula is therefore totally pointless.
African Mango Extract - African mango extract is said to be rich in essential nutrients and is starting to be put in supplements like Ignite Drops due to claims that it can aid weight loss and combat metabolic syndrome.
They even say that it will provide additional benefits as a free bonus, such as better bone health and healthy inflammation, blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
The problem is, as there is little to no scientific evidence that it will actually produce any of these effects, the presence of African mango in Ignite Drops is highly unlikely to do anything at all (5).
Eleuthero Root - Eleuthero root extract is an adaptogen that comes from the Siberian ginseng plant. It is said to improve your physical performance and reduce fatigue, both of which would help you lose weight by enabling you to exercise more frequently and complete more challenging workouts.
However, these results will only be seen if you consume at least 300 mg per day (6). While we do not know how much is present in Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops, the serving size and the position of eleuthero root on the ingredients list make it highly unlikely that a sufficient dose has been used.
Gymnema Leaf - Gymnema sylvestre is a vine found worldwide which produces leaves that have long been used in ayurvedic medicine to prevent or treat high cholesterol, inflammation, and heart disease.
Their extracts are also put in some weight loss dietary supplements like Ignite Drops, due to claims that it can suppress hunger and sugar cravings, prevent insulin resistance, boost your insulin sensitivity and blood sugar levels, and reduce the storage of body fat mass.
However, not only have most of these claims not actually been proven, but even the studies that do support its use say that you must take 600 mg of gymnema extract each day for it to have an effect (7).
As this is far more than can be in Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops, its presence is guaranteed to be of no use at all.
Maca Root - Maca root has long been used in traditional medicine as it can improve libido, sexual functions and mood, regulate your sex and morning hormone levels, and reduce anxiety, depression, and the symptoms of the menopause, and it is also said to boost energy levels, metabolism, and weight loss.
Unfortunately, not only are the weight loss benefits of maca root mild, but it will only produce any benefits at all if you consume at least 1,500 mg per day (8). As this is far more than can be in a serving of Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops, its presence in the formula is of not use whatsoever.
Forskohlii Root - The roots of the coleus forskohlii plant, a herb in the mint family found in India and southeast Asia, have been used as a traditional medicine for centuries and have countless health benefits attributed to them.
They are said to burn fat, promote body weight loss, boost metabolism and testosterone levels, preserve muscle mass, regulate blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels and treat asthma, glaucoma, and diabetes (9).
However, none of these claimed benefits have ever been clinically proven. This means the presence of forskohlii root in the Ignite weight loss supplement are more likely to do nothing than they are to do you any good.
Green Tea Leaf Extract - Green tea extract is a great source of natural caffeine and the potent antioxidant catechin EGCG.
Together these components will boost metabolism, energy levels, fat burning, weight loss, and brain and heart health and functions, lower blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and blood lipid levels, relieve anxiety and stress, suppress appetite, and help your body fight off a range of illnesses.
The issue is, studies show you need to use at least 200 mg of green tea extract a day for it to do any of this (10).
While we do not know exactly how much is present in Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops, the size of a serving and how low green tea extract is listed on the ingredients list makes iti mpossible hat a sufficient dose has been used.
Grape Seed Extract - Grape seed extract is full of antioxidants known as catechins, as well as a substance called resveratrol, both of which are known for their potent anti inflammatory properties.
They can support heart health and circulation, prevent weight gain, and improve blood pressure and cholesterol levels, excess fat and weight loss, insulin and glucose sensitivity, hormone levels, and nerve, joint, brain and gut health and functions.
The issue is, to aid weight loss or improve your overall health, 800 mg of grapeseed extract must be consumed each day (11). While we don't know exactly how much is present in Ignite weight loss drops, it is far less than this, so its presence will not have the desired effects.
Panax Ginseng Root - Panax ginseng root extract has long been used in various traditional medicines around the world, due to it being linked to an extensive range of health benefits.
Studies show that it can boost energy levels, brain and immune system health and functions, mood, and testosterone levels, and treat conditions like chronic fatigue syndrome, insulin resistance, diabetes, erectile dysfunction, and fibromyalgia.
Unfortunately, to see any of these effects, you must consume 200 mg of ginseng extract per day, and 400 mg is required for optimal effects (12). You can get higher yeild extracts, but these are quite expensive and given everything else we've seen we simply don't imagine that Ingite have forked out for this. So as even the lower dose is greater than what can be in Ignite Amazonian Sunrise Drops, the presence of ginseng in the dietary supplement is totally worthless.
