BPN Strong Reds Review

Is BPN Strong Reds Any Good?

BPN Strong Reds Isn't Quite Up To Scratch.

BPN Strong Reds is a superfood reds powder made by Bare Performance Nutrition, which they claim uses a powerful antioxidant formula to provide numerous health benefits.

They say it will increase natural energy levels, improve digestion and nutrient absorption, protect tissues, encourage faster recovery and better endurance, promote healthy blood flow and immune function, and enhance heart and gut health, as well as your overall wellbeing.

Unfortunately, closer examination reveals that these claims do not appear to be true.

The BPN Strong Reds formula contains inulin, cabbage palm, xylooligosaccharides, tart cherries, pomegranate, cranberries, beet root, papaya, blueberry extract (powder blueberries), raspberries, and patented, proprietary natural antioxidant and digestive enzymes blends.

Now, while many of these ingredients do indeed have powerful antioxidant capabilities and the ability to improve natural energy, digestion, and nutrient absorption, they won't when used in the low dosages which are present here.

They are then surrounded by ingredients that have little to no evidence that they will actually benefit you in any way.

Another big concern is that many users claim the tubs do not contain as many servings as Bare Performance Nutrition claim. This not only means the product doesn't provide the kind of value it seems, but it also makes both the powder and its manufacturer very hard to trust.

Coming in a choice of naturally sweetened flavours that includes lemon, pineapple coconut, and strawberry, all of which include no artificial sweeteners, will make it appealing to many. Unfortunately, this just is not enough to save what is an otherwise ineffective product.

That is why we do not recommend you purchase BPN Strong Reds. There are better options that are much higher dosed so you will actually get the benefits you pay for.

Best Reds Powders

BPN Strong Reds Ingredients

Organic Inulin (From Jerusalem Artichoke Root Powder) - 1.5 Grams

Inulin is a soluble, prebiotic fiber that will aid gut health by boosting digestion and nutrient absorption. This can prevent weight gain, boost weight loss, raise energy levels, reduce inflammation, ease constipation, and regulate your blood sugar and cholesterol levels (1).

The problem is, these benefits will only be produced if you ingest a minimum of 10 grams of inulin each day. As each serving of BPN Strong Reds contains just 1.5 grams of inulin, it therefore will not be of any use.

Organic Cabbage Palm Fruit Juice Powder - 1 Gram

Also known as the calaguala, the cabbage palm is a herb native to the Mexico, the West Indies, and the southern US that is mostly used in creams, due to claims that it promotes skin health benefits, particularly regarding preventing or fixing damage caused by the sun and UV rays.

It is sometimes also included in dietary supplements, as there are claims that it is an anti inflammatory and antioxidant that can reduce indigestion and inflammation, and combat immune system and respiratory system infections.

However, with the exception of mild skin health improvements, none of the other claims regarding cabbage palm fruit juice have ever been proven (2). This makes it highly unlikely to be of any use in the BPN Strong Reds formula.

Xylooligosaccharides Corn Cob Powder - 1 Gram

Xylooligosaccharides are a type of polymer found in some plant based sugars. They have begun to be included in some dietary supplements are there is evidence to suggest that they are a prebiotic.

There are limited studies which show that they can improve digestion, the production of digestive enzymes, and the overall health of the digestive tract, boost blood sugar and lipid levels, and promote a healthy immune response (3).

The problem is, there has been very little study into the effects of xylooligosaccharides to this point. This means that you cannot rely on them to be of any real use in the BPN Strong Reds formula.

Sour Cherry Fruit Powder - 250 MG

Sour cherry fruit powder is produced from tart cherries, which account for roughly 50 percent of the known varieties of cherries. They are widely included in natural plant derived supplement formulas, due to purported anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

They are said to improve physical recovery, muscle function, and exercise performance, reduce muscle soreness and inflammation, boost melatonin production, aid sleep quality, and even combat gout.

There are, unfortunately, a number of issues with the use of tart cherries in the BPN Strong Reds formula.

Not only are not all of the benefits proven, but the high sugar content can be problematic and the 250 mg is lower than the minimum of 474 mg of sour cherries said to be needed each day to produce optimal effects (4).

Organic Pomegranate Juice Powder - 250 MG

Pomegranates have long been seen as a great fruit choice, as they are rich in vitamin c, punicic acid, and punicalagins, while being much lower in sugar and calories than other fruit extracts. There is also evidence that pomegranates contain potent antioxidants called anthocyanins.

They are believed to reduce blood pressure, blood sugar, and inflammation, benefit heart health and brain function, promote optimal digestion, provide urinary tract support, and aid exercise performance (5).

However, while there is still no consensus on just how much pomegranate you should consume each day, virtually all estimates are above the 250 mg present in BPN Strong Reds. This means it will offer minimal benefits to the powder, if it can provide any at all.

Cranberry Fruit Extract - 150 MG

Cranberries are well known to be rich in potent antioxidants called anthocyanins, manganese, polyphenols, quercetin, vitamin a, vitamin c, and vitamin k.

While best known for its ability to provide urinary tract support and treat liver disease, it also reduces blood pressure, supports immune function, and combats certain chronic illnesses, while offering a variety of additional beneficial effects for your health (6).

Unfortunately, while the optimal cranberry dosage has yet to be agreed upon, most studies agree that 250 mg is needed each day as a bare minimum. This means the 150 mg present in BPN Strong Reds is unlikely to be of much use, if it can do anything at all.

Organic Beet Juice (Root) Powder - 150 MG

Organic beet juice (root) powder is made by dehydrating beets and turning them into powder. It is incredibly popular as it is rich in vitamin c, folate, nitrate, potassium, and a potent antioxidant called betacyanins.

This lets it reduce inflammation, blood pressure, and cholesterol, improve your eye, heart, and immune system health, boost your stamina and energy levels, protect your blood, liver, and various other organs from damage, and prevent and treat certain chronic illnesses (7).

However, as a bare minimum, you need to consume at least 500 mg of beet root each day for it to be of any use. This means the 150 mg of beet root juice powder present in BPN Strong Reds is virtually guaranteed to provide no benefits at all.

Blueberry Fruit Extract - 150 MG

Blueberries have one of the highest concentrations of anthocyanin antioxidants of any fruit currently known. They are able to boost brain function, liver and heart health, and prevent liver fat build up, cognitive decline, and inflammation.

The issue is, to offer these benefits, you need to consume at least 5.5 grams of blueberry extract, powder blueberries, or concentrated blueberry juice (8). This means the 150 mg of blueberry fruit extract in BPN Strong Reds is far too weak to be of any use at all.

Organic Papaya Fruit Juice Powder - 150 MG

The papaya fruit contains high levels of vitamins, digestive enzymes, phytonutrients, and the minerals magnesium and potassium. It has been frequently linked to an ability to promote proper digestion, support a healthy immune response, and reduce oxidative stress (9).

Unfortunately, while eating large quantities of the whole fruit can indeed produce these benefits, the powder is lacking many of the vital components that it contains. This means the papaya fruit juice powder present in BPN Strong Reds is highly unlikely to be of any use at all.

Antioxidant Blend - 100 MG

The antioxidant blend in BPN Strong Reds contains cabbage palm fruit juice, acerola fruit extract, amla fruit, myrciaria cauliflora fruit pulp, cranberry fruit, aristotelia chilensis whole fruit, pomegranate seeds, strawberry fruit juice, and schisandra berry.

While some of these ingredients, such as acerola fruit extract, have some evidence to support their antioxidant properties, it is minimal at best, while others have no evidence to support their inclusion at all.

Couple this with the relatively small size of the blend overall, and it is highly unlikely that you will experience any powerful antioxidant effects from BPN Strong Reds.

Raspberry Fruit Extract - 100 MG

The raspberry is a natural antioxidant that is rich in fiber, manganese, potassium, polyphenols, vitamin c, and b vitamins.

Unfortunately, while whole raspberries have been shown to benefit heart health, healthy blood flow, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and bone, skin, and hair health, its extract has not been proven to offer the same benefits (10).

This means its inclusion in BPN Strong Reds is highly unlikely to be of any real use.

DigeSEB Super - 15 MG

DigeSEB is a patented blend of digestive enzymes that includes amylase, cellulase, lactase, lipase, and protease. While this could be an effective digestive enzyme blend, there are a couple of issues with it.

Not only does it omit 2 of the main digestive enzymes, sucrase and maltase, but it is also far smaller than what you will find in a truly effective digestive enzyme blend (11).

This, unfortunately, means that the digestive enzymes in BPN Strong Reds will not combat digestive disorders or lead to proper digestion in the ways that you would hope.

BPN Strong Reds Review Conclusion

BPN Strong Reds looks like a decent red superfood powder at first glance, given its ingredient list and average rating score on Amazon. Unfortunately, both of these are revealed to be false when they come under even the slightest bit of scrutiny.

Whether it be the poor ingredient dosages, ingredients that have not been proven to be effective, or complaints about the business practices of Bare Performance Nutrition, there are just so many red flags that we simply have to recommend you avoid buying BPN Strong Reds.

We instead suggest you give Red Tonik a try. Made with nothing but optimal doses of proven ingredients, it truly can promote healthy blood flow, increase natural energy levels, encourage faster recovery, and offer all of the other benefits you'd expect from a superfood reds powder, it's a little bit more expensive, but you actually get the supply that you pay for.
